Live Out Front Present:  Todd Sheaffer (Railroad Earth) & Chris Thompson (CORAL CREEK)

Esteemed songwriter and Railroad Earth front man, Todd Sheaffer, hits the road this Spring playing a run of intimate, outdoor shows across the Western US, joined by Colorado songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Chris Thompson of CORAL CREEK.  These intimate shows feature the songs that have made Railroad Earth one of the hottest tickets on the Newgrass and Jamband festival circuit, presented by Sheaffer in a solo format with instrumental accompaniment by Thompson on guitar, bass and dobro.  The show includes two sets of original music, with Thompson kicking off the evening followed by Sheaffer performing solo and with accompaniment.  As any Todd fan would expect, every show is different and each performance takes the audience on a ride that frequently ends with a cacophonous singalong dance party at your seat.  Schedule and Tickets at: www.liveoutfront.com/todd-chris-spring-tour —–

——– Live Out Front shows are intimate, socially-distanced, outdoor concerts that focus on the raw songs and musicianship of the artist at a time when large productions and social gatherings are not an option.  Emerging from the ashes of the live music industry during the Covid-19 pandemic, Live Music – OUT FRONT (www.LiveOutFront.com) represents a new way to enjoy live music and engage with your favorite Artists in the era of gathering restrictions and social distancing without the need to travel or deal with large crowds.  The Live Out Front Artists Roster includes many top artists from the Americana, Bluegrass, Jamband community, available to play intimate gatherings in solo or small-ensemble configurations.

Bluebird Music Festival on September 25 & 26

Bluebird Music Festival on September 25 & 26

Macky Auditorium in Boulder, CO

Message from the Festival – “We are beyond thrilled to finally announce the return of the Bluebird Music Festival! After over a year of isolation, loss, and division, what we will need most this fall is community (and live music, of course). This September 25th and 26th the festival has expanded to two full days and four events. There will be two main evening events and two afternoon Strings & Stories events.

Though signs are pointing toward a safe event environment by the fall, our priority is protecting both your health and your wallet.

We will work with state and University officials to follow all safety protocols that may be in place this fall. This could include dramatically reduced capacity. If capacity is reduced, those who purchased their tickets first will receive priority admission to the events. All other purchases will be refunded. If the event is unable to safely take place, all orders will be refunded. We will not make you use your ticket for a future date.

This announcement is one of hope. Mental health is so critical right now and we all need something to look forward to this fall!

Tickets begin at just $29, limited all-weekend VIP passes are available for $199, and tickets are ON SALE NOW at www.bluebirdmusicfestival.org.”

• Proceeds from every sale benefit The Capitol Theatre – a historic music venue in New York. Originally opened as a theatre in 1926, in the late 60’s the theater was renovated as a psychedelic performance space, and it hosted just about every major rock and roll act of that time period with the likes of Janis Joplin, Traffic, Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead all graced the Port Chester stage during its heyday. In September 2012, with Peter Shapiro at the helm, The Capitol Theatre reopened as Westchester’s new premier rock palace.

• Also benefitting Conscious Alliance – a nonprofit organization committed to support communities in crisis though hunger relief and youth empowerment. “We feed families in communities that need it most. Our network of creative people — artists, musicians, food makers, and fans — use their time and talents to make that happen. Our alliance empowers young people to make a tangible difference in the lives of people in underserved communities.”

• Artwork for this Tarpestry is by Pete Schaw – a freelance illustrator / graphic designer working out of Seattle, WA who is well known in the live music community. He has created show prints for Umphreys Mcgee, String Cheese Incident, Widespread Panic, Railroad Earth, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Greensky and others. He has also produced prints for music festivals including High Sierra, Lockn, The Festy Experience and Sweetwater in the Sun.

• This crowd fundraiser is active until Feb. 26th. If the minimum goal of 12 Tarpestrys is met, production will begin and orders will be expected to ship by May 30th. *Supporters will be notified of any production delays.

• Supporter is responsible for cost of shipping.

• Orders do not ship until fundraiser ends and production is finished (approx. 2 months).

• A minimum of 12 Tarpestrys must be sold during crowdfunding campaign in order for production to begin.

• If the minimum order is not met refunds will be processed on March 1st.

No returns or exchanges.

SIZE: 7′ x 4.5′

WEIGHT: 4 lbs

FEATURES:

• Storage pocket with velcro closure

• Standard 4 grommets – one on each corner. Choose additional grommets for hanging and staking options: over a hammock, setting up a pup-tent, lean-to, etc.

EPIC STYLE UPPER:

• UV/fade resistant poplin, sublimation print

• Digitally printed replication of artwork by Pete Schaw.

BASE:
• Water repellent/UV resistant polyester (charcoal)

• Polyester border (black)

CARE GUIDE:

• Cleaning. Treat the Tarpestry like a tarp! Shake it out when it’s dirty, rinse it off with a hose when it’s really dirty.  Spot clean with mild soap. Hang to dry. Harsh detergent and the agitation of the machine wash will eventually break down the inner coating on the Tarpestry. You won’t see this but you may notice a decrease in water-repellency. If there is a noticeable difference in functionality, re-coat the Tarpestry with spray for waterproofing outdoor gear.

• Sun exposure. RuggedMini and Epic Tarpestrys have UV treated fabrics – the colors for these styles will last the longest. These two styles are what you want if you plan to have your Tarpestry outside 24/7. The Classic Style Tarpestry has a soft cotton upper that is printed with vegetable dyes – this cotton fabric is not UV treated. The vibrancy may fade but the functionality will not!

• Water. The Tarpestry is not waterproof, it is highly water-repellent. Ergo, it will repel the water to a point. Lay your Tarpestry down on damp grass and you will stay high and dry. If you lay it down in a puddle, it will eventually saturate and you will have a soggy bottom. The Tarpestry is not a float. If you use your Tarpestry for rain protection, hang it at an angle so that the water can bead up and roll down. If you allow the water to pool, it will eventually saturate. And for the love of Pete have the water-repellent base fabric facing the rain.

Crush Walls – September 14-20 2020

Crush Walls – September 14-20 2020

Crush Walls

WHAT IS CRUSH?

CRUSH is an annual celebration of art, transforming the streets and alleys of RiNo into permanent, open-air galleries. CRUSH celebrates art, creativity, and culture by enriching our community through an arts festival like no other. We believe that public art leads to an improved community as a catalyst for safety, cleanliness, creativity, and conversation. Centered around empowering artists, CRUSH is committed to reflecting and diversifying the urban landscape and the unique voice of a community, bringing art out of the galleries and into the streets.

Founded by Denver artist Robin Munro, CRUSH has been taking over the streets of the RiNo neighborhood since 2010. With a passion for graffiti and street art as well as his community, Munro aimed to create an event that showcases the amazing artistic talents he saw not only in Denver, but also across the world.

The RiNo Art District defines itself as a community “Where Art is Made” and CRUSH embodies this mantra celebrating the craft of graffiti and street artists who bring life to walls while maintaining the unique cultural identity in this rapidly evolving community.

Instead of using walls to divide, CRUSH uses walls to unite!

CRUSH BRINGS ART TO EVERYONE

CRUSH raises awareness of the cultural significance and importance of art for all ages and all demographics that may not have the opportunity to experience it otherwise. CRUSH offers art inspiration through this urban craft. The organization serves as a forum for community engagement and creative expression, inviting locals and visitors to engage in this rich history and forward-thinking public art in Denver, Colorado. Join the experience during the annual event in September or visit the CRUSH Walls year round in the RiNo Art District.
