The lineup includes talented artists performing folk, bluegrass, funk, jam, soul, roots-rock, reggae, Celtic, afrobeat, zydeco, and every genre you can think of in between!

With performances from Donna and The Buffalo, considered not just a band, one might say more of a lifestyle for its members and audiences who refer to themselves as The Herd and intentionally come together, especially during this event. Get ready for Donna and The Buffalo to bring classic covers and their eclectic originals.

Keller and the Keys, comprised of acoustic musician Keller Williams in addition to husband and wife duo Jenny Keel and Larry Keel, will add to the mixed lineup with their Appalachian Psychedelic Bluegrass. Along with Peter Rowan, Grammy-award winner and member of the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame with a career spanning over five decades with Peter’s second Rebel release, Calling You From My Mountain, receiving a 2022 Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album. You don’t want to miss the chance to experience these legendary performers!

Additional artists include Kaleta & Super Yampa Band, Couch, Kevin Kinsella OG JBB, Henhouse Prowlers, The Probables, Root Shock, Smackdab, The Comb Down, Sun King Warriors, Pa Line, Farrow, Dr. Bacon, and many more.

Blackspy is proud to support this festival that received its namesake from the mighty Rio Grande River, easily accessible from the campsite and festival grounds. The town of Del Norte has revitalized the riverfront area with a water park and Riverwalk, creating the perfect environment for both nature and music lovers.

The event features The Motet as the headliner on Friday night. Today they lead the charge for progressive bluegrass dubbed ‘Galaxy Grass’ and are a staple in our community. We’re sure many of their loyal fans will be at Rhythms on the Rio in 2023.

The Infamous Stringdusters featuring Andy Falco, Chris Pandolfi, Andy Hall, Jeremy Garrett, and Travis Book, will headline the final night. Their musical influences encompass multiple genres, but their common denominator is bluegrass— the sound that has essentially defined their career.
